Karissa and Malcolm are inactive Latter-day Saints who live on the beautiful
Kodiak Island in Alaska. They have everything—money, possessions, and fulfilling
careers. Yet they are unable to have children, and Karissa's dreadful secret
could be the reason why.
Friends of Malcolm, Brionney and Jesse Hergarter (from
To Love and to Promise),
have temporarily moved to the island for business reasons. Brionney's three
daughters and new pregnancy add fuel to Karissa's inner anger. Yet perhaps the
Hergarters can help the Karissa and Malcolm find their faith and face the secret
